Interchangeable Production Fixture System We designed and manufactured a modular fixture system capable of producing four different product variants on a single assembly line, using one common fixture platform with interchangeable adapter plates. The system was also designed with future products in mind, allowing the fixtures to be modified and adapted as requirements change. Design The fixture system was designed around interchangeable adapter plates, allowing different products and assembly requirements to be quickly accommodated while maintaining accurate and repeatable positioning in different orientations. Prototyping Before moving into final manufacture, we produced the fixture components in wood to test the design, positioning and overall functionality of the system. Production Once the design had been proven, we manufactured the final fixture components using our CNC router, producing the adapters and associated components ready for assembly.   Finished Products The completed system provides four interchangeable configurations within a single production setup, giving the customer a flexible solution that can develop alongside their product range.
