The challenge
Our client had modified their Desouter arm by fitting longer shafts to increase reach. At full extension, the arm twisted significantly, creating instability and a real risk of the suspended screwdriver breaking.
Our soloution
We engineered a third structural beam and designed a precision housing for it to travel through. This added rigidity across the entire length of the arm and eliminated rotational movement.
